RAPID VISUALIZATION 4

Hi there! Today I learnt about Graphic Facilitation- 7 Elements & Tools. Below is a really interesting video I hope u watch it. I really like the way they make this teaching method its easy to understand and catchy. I hope everything I study in school and college are to use this method. Lol.

For class exercise, I produced a graphic facilitation which consists of all the 7 elements. I used simple graphic with human figures and motions to cover up everything I've learnt after watching the video.

Lecturer comment to fill in the empty space, too much gaps. Good sketches but need to show hierarchy.

RAPID VISUALIZATION 3

Hi! This is a continuation assignment from previous topic. I have to produce a rapid viz drawing which is related to HISTORY CLASS. So basically I treated this as a revision for my midterm exam, muahaha early preparation is good =D

Lecturer comment to improve the composition of the layout. To add more characteristics about the subject topic.

RAPID VISUALIZATION 2

Hi there! Previously I talked about rapid viz is an effective way to draw imaginary 3D objects & concepts. It not only expand our visual thinking but also create new ideas, communicate concepts to solve design issues. Today's exercise is to produce rapid viz drawing which is PROCESS OF MAKING YOUR FAVOURITE FOOD. Honestly, I just know how to eat but not cook (sounds pitiful right) until recently... I started cooking! It's actually pretty easy and I'm actually having fun in cooking. Everything sure starts from 0%. No one is born to know cooking okay. Now back to the topic, I produce something like this:

Lecturer comment that the composition is good and easy to understand. Just to highlight the keywords. Satisfy work =)

RAPID VISUALIZATION 1

Hi again! Today I learnt about rapid visualizing (rapid viz) which practically sums up everything in a simple manner for people to understand it. Designers usually use this method to sketch fast design drawings on paper for clients to view. For example,

What do you understand about the two drawings? Rapid viz can actually be done in many creative ways. From my perspective, Picture 1 shows the daily activities of human beings. Just simple human figures with few motions enhanced with line thickness can picture the whole story. Easy right? Picture 2 shows the ways of how to use a power drill. With no lengthy words or instructions, one can easily understand just by looking at the drawings.

Ways of producing rapid viz:
1. THUMBNAILS- small ideas of sketches e.g characteristics, features
2. VALUE- dont need to render everything, just the important or unique feature
3. KEYWORDS- no essays, no lengthy words
4. ARROWS- to indicate notes, process & flow

The title for today's exercise is to produce a rapid viz drawing related to the animal that we choose from Design project. Guess what is my animal?

Lecturer comment to add text for keywords. Satisfy work =)

p.s.  It is a PORCUPINE =)

QUICK SKETCH

Hello again. Sem breaks are over. Back to reality. More assignments. More stress. More fatigue. And so on.. Its the first day in class. I'm so NOT in the mood for everything but then again..all good things come to an end. So have to deal with it no matter what. I'm gonna skip all the babblering and pouting out nonsense and negative qi to you all. *be positive~clear throat* Today's class is about producing a quick sketch in about 30 min (i know 30 min is quite long for a quick sketch, normally one will done it in 10-15 min, lol).

Its a 30 min quick sketch sorta introduction about yourself and make people recognize you when they look at the sketch. You may include your characteristics, quotes, letters, interests, styles, hobbies, thumbnails, anything that represents YOU.

After thinking for quite a while, I produced a 15 min simple enough sketch which depicts myself holding a lotus flower. I used this method of sketching as it has been always a hobby of mine : drawing animes. I am fond of lotus flowers because they represent serenity and it calms me down everytime i look at them. You can say that I am a calm person (also depend on the situation lah of course).

The lecturer commented that this is not a sketch but a complete painting. It reveals the entire representation as a whole. Not quite meeting the requirements eh. Gotta pay more attention in class then.

HISTORY MODEL

My previous assignments for History 2 class. I need to choose an ARCHITECT and its BUILDING and produce a POSTER and a MODEL. Sounds simple right.

The requirement of the A1 poster is to capture the best perspective view that reveals the interior and architecture of the building itself like the furniture, wall, deco, etc. The model is 1/2 of A4 size and can be done in whichever way I like. Just a simple and important part of the interior will do.

I am doing Ennis Brown House by Frank Llyod Wright. The description is in the photo so I don't need to repeat again myself. At first when I got this building, I'm like 0_0 wth! Whats with all those stones with thousands of inscriptions on it! Ceiling! Wall! Floor! They are everywhere! So, at last I came up with fast printing and some cut and paste and there I go. ^^

A1 poster (sorry for the bad capture too big for petite me > <'')

I had fun making this inscription stone thing ^^
